SCOUTING NEW TERRAIN.
Snowmobiles are a quick and safe mode of transportation to see what lies ahead. Being aware of the ground conditions allows us to make a safe work plan for the snowcats, snowmakers, and vehicles.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
With countless hours invested into snowmaking and offroad design, every tiny detail has been considered.

Offroad Equipment

Our tracked vehicles and snowmobiles are used on winter access roads, ice roads, and pipeline right of ways for exploration as well as equipment and crew transportation. These tracked vehicles are very capable in snow and light frost, as well as soft ground and mud. They can travel on very little frost and on winter access lines that have not been opened up with heavy equipment, allowing us to start making snow weeks before our competitors. By having our snowmaking crew ahead of the heavy equipment there is never a loss in production while dozers and snowcats wait for a snow bridge to be completed. Our snowmobiles can be used for emergency transportation, and for scouting new roads and creek crossings.

Benefits of our Offroad Equipment:

  • Being able to start weeks earlier in the season allows more time to complete winter programs.
  • While we are travelling to our snowmaking sites each day, our tracks are freezing in the winter access roads, allowing heavy equipment to start earlier, on more frost.
  • Tracks reduce ground pressure significantly compared to tires, leaving the environment in its natural state, versus tires which are more likely to break through the frost and disrupt the muskeg.
  • There is no down time while heavy equipment waits to cross a creek, resulting in more production and cost savings.
  • We are not reliant on other equipment having the roads in great condition. If winter access lines have not been opened up, we can continue to make snow without waiting for dozers or snowcats.
  • Our tracked vehicles have both front and rear winches, as well as heavy tow straps to get through the most rugged terrain.
